Recently Realty One has taken a hard look at what it means to be part of a community. We believe that just doing business within a community does not mean you are being an active member of that community.  To us, being a community member means knowing our neighbours, it means being there to lend a helping hand when needed, it means supporting the businesses within that community, and it means taking initiative to make the community a better place. That is why we have started our monthly outreach program where we are taking action and being the community members we want to see.

#WeLoveOurCommunity is our monthly initiative to make Regina an even better place to live.   We encourage you to join us, together we are stronger, and together anything is possible.

May – Art Park Clean Up #WeLoveOurCommunity

In May the Realty One family decided to put their backs and hands to good use and do a community park clean up. After speaking with The Heritage Park directors we felt the Art Park on 11th and Halifax St needed our love. We joined together with local community members and got to work. Pulling weeds, picking up garbage and finishing off with a free BBQ made for a great day spent in the sun. Many of the parks in #YQR are not maintained by the city due to community ownership. This means there are many great spaces in the city that need TLC from the neighbourhood. We encourage you and your families to get together and help out in your free time. Can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday then with family and friends taking care of your local park, finishing with a picnic or a game of Frisbee?

We would like to thank the Heritage Community directors for their assistance in organizing this event.

April - Realty One Lends a Hand at Soul's Harbour

At the end of April, R1 agents and our families spent an enjoyable evening together giving back to our community.  We were happy to be able donate and serve a delicious roast beef dinner at Soul's Harbour Rescue Mission.

December - R1 Food Drive for the Food Bank

Knowing that everyone in our community is not able to enjoy a home cooked family meal during Christmas is a sobering thought.  So throughout November and December Realty One approached local businesses to help us gather food items to donate to the Regina Food Bank.  Just in time for the holidays we were able to present the Food Bank with 4,480 pounds of food as well as a cash donation,   Thanks to all who help us in this endeavour!
